The ice cream of the future
March 27, 2008 – 10:33 pm by JohnI’ve raised this point several times over the last several years: Dippin’ Dots, that delicious iced cream product found in shopping malls, amusement parks, and occasionally other places, has claimed it is “the ice cream of the future” for at least 15 years. Come on, it’s the future by now. We’re only seven years away from flying cars and hoverboards. I mean, I first saw that slogan on their kiosk in Town Center mall in Kennesaw, Georgia, when I was a child, and it hasn’t spread in presence or popularity very much since then. Which is weird, because it’s delicious.
Well, this account of a 22nd-century time-traveler reveals that, at least, Dippin’ Dots becomes the ice cream of the present at some point in the future.
