It can’t get any worse
November 5, 2008 – 8:01 pm by JohnI heard an Obama supporter say this today (paraphrasing because I couldn’t quite hear everything, from across the room): “When we elected Dubya eight years ago, we thought he would be halfway decent, and he turned out to be terrible. … Although, at this point in time, everybody’s saying, ‘It can’t get any worse,’ but we shouldn’t say that ’cause then he’ll find a way.” Unbelievable. Unheard of. An Obama supporter actually suggesting that a single day of his glorious reign could be anything less than ineffable and awe-inspiring. Maybe I need to re-evaluate the Obama-maniacs I’m exposed to in person, on TV, and on the internet. It is said, after all, that the only thing an American president is certain to accomplish is making his predecessor look good by comparison.
Oh, never mind. Maybe my evaluation of Obama-maniacs is accurate after all:

Honestly? Weeping tears of joy? For a president? That’s going too far, but it’s only the beginning.
An Associated Press story about his victory said this:
Many supporters greeted his victory with euphoria. Impatient for a new American era and overcome by a black man’s historic ascension to the White House, they took his achievement for their own—weeping, dancing in the streets, blaring happy horns into Wednesday morning.
Those photographs I yoinked from the web certainly back that up; that’s why I yoinked them. To any liberal Republocrat readers out there: don’t be like that. Compose yourself and don’t do anything you’d ridicule or condemn from the neocon Republocrats.
